"Ah, I see," she said, threading her fingers through his on one hand, taking delight in the way his hand felt against hers. It was the simple things in life.

"You are my husband," she said softly, "I will go where you bid me," within reason, "do what you bid," as long as it wasn't in total direct conflict with her father, "and nothing you can do shall fail me," she paused, "Tell me of your city," she added. At this point of her life, Talia was at an odd junction. She was trained to be worldly, but knew very little of the actual world outside of what her father picked and chose.
